Young British Muslims today are looking for food and drink that reflects their own religious and cultural experiences. A lot of brands currently speak of a country and culture that belongs more to their parents, so we created a relevant and contemporary identity, that reflects the variety of dishes in the Takul range that represent the modern British muslims diet.
Through the design of an iconic chopping board device and bold yellow brand colour we developed a narrative 'made in our Halal kitchen for you to enjoy'. We integrated the Halal star device and crafted the logo to hint at Islamic typography resulting in a unique brand identity that disrupts the Halal category with its dynamic contemporary approach.
The new creation has help lead to immediate listings in Tesco with new products launched.
"We came to Rylands Brand Design with little more than some products, a name and a tight timeline, and what we received surpassed anything we could have hoped for. From thoughtful and imaginative concepts all the way to final rounds of fine-tuning, Rylands have created a new, modern look and feel to our brand (and the fixture as a whole) that we didn't think was possible. Their energy, response time and work ethic has been far beyond what we have experienced previously with other designers - a real pleasure to work with!"
